We
have two versions of the California State Quarters featuring the former
"Governator" Arnold Schwarzenegger. Famed moved actor and body builder
Arnold Schwarzenegger was elected Governor of California in an
unprecedented special recall election which saw Governor Grey Davis
removed. One coin features Arnold holding former Governor
Davis
by the neck. Davis was recalled in the election in which Arnold was
elected. The other California quarter is labeled Cruz
Control,
after Arnold Schwarzenegger's main Democratic opponent in the recall
election. It shows Arnold punching his opponent Cruz Bustamante. Both
coins are dated 2005, the year the actual California state quarter was
released. The coins were struck on actual United States quarters, to
avoid anti-counterfeiting laws. The obverse
features the
George Washington head found the regular state quarters.
