When I was 12-15 years old, the absolute highlight of my month was receiving
your list. I am now 40, so that means 1972-1975! Most of the income from my
earliest jobs went to either you or the local coin shop. I still have many
interesting coins I earned by chopping wood and mowing lawns for $1-2/hour,
for example a piece from the Lazareto Leper Colony. A common coin that I
probably paid only $1 for, but one of MANY that has fascinated me for all
these years.
When I was 16, it was off to Cornell Engineering School and my coin collecting
went into hibernation for some time as I was barely able to keep up with
schoolwork, let alone have a life. By the time I emerged with a PhD I had
lost touch with you
I recently saw your ad in Coin World and was flooded with memories. Thanks to
the Internet, I can see your Interesting Stuff anytime! It was also nice to
see your picture with your family and put a face to the lists/coins/Joel of
years back. Your site/business is really great!!! I'm looking forward to

The coin arrived safely yesterday, earlier than expected so it was a nice surprise!
Beautiful condition without a single smudge or fingerprint. Your care in handling the coin is appreciated. Some people aren't as thoughtful. Once I received two nice, old French 5 Franc coins (from a seller in France) that were actually taped to the back of a piece of cardboard! Needless to say, I had to clean off the residue from the tape, which certainly devalued the coin.

Thank you. The replacement kointain arrived today. I was shocked to find the original shattered, and the Edison Light Bulb coin loose in the mailer pack. I had a good laugh when I saw all the packing material you used to mail this one. No matter how roughly those postal gorillas treated this package, there's no way they could damage it.

Whenever I show my coins to friends and come to the Edison coin, I always tell the story of how it arrived loose with the shattered kointain. Now I'll be sure to add your quick response to my problem. I may even keep the package to show how much care you took to ensure this one would arrive intact. You're a class act.

Today the coins have arrived. The Triastan da Cunha set is beautiful. Too
bad the Fiji 1942 1/2 penny coin has a fairly large green spot (the ad did
indicate an F grade, so I did not expect much). One of the two Jamaica coins,
though UNC, has a number of black dots on both sides. Not really pretty.

I'm also pleased to get the cobalt plated coin. My primary collecting interest at the moment is elements and I'm trying to get examples of different metals used in coins or medals, which is difficult in many cases because of limited numbers and the number of people doing the same. I received your packet of Japanese hansatu notes plus the coins I ordered. Thanking you for your prompt attention and service. Just a query on the pu yi coin. I notice it has heavy filing marks on the surface of the coin. Is this fairly typical on Chinese coins of this era? I have been a collector of Chinese cash coins for many years. This is the first example I've come across. There of course are many examples of forged Chinese coins coming onto the market lately. I hold a couple myself. They are becoming more difficult to detect. The pu yi seems ok to me but I wonder about the filing marks. If you could supply any details about it, I would appreciate the reply.

Also experiencing some technical difficulties of your web site of late going at snail pace. Should like to do business with you in future.
