*We often use private postal insurance or self-insure.  The advantage of this is that it costs less and claims are paid MUCH quicker.  I sometimes charge LESS than these rates, depending on the size and weight of the order.

Express mail, UPS Air, FedEx  service may be available for at a substantial extra cost and is done at your risk. "Overnight" Express Mail takes at least two days to most locations (even within California). Grover Beach is in the boondocks so there are early cutoffs for FedEx and UPS Air, so plan accordingly.   Because UPS and FedEx do not always honor their guaranteed delivery, we cannot promise it either.



POSTAGE TO OTHER COUNTRIES:  
Rates are based on the weight, size and shape of the package.  Airmail with tracking usually costs from $15 to $45, with a maximum weight of about 1700 grams. I can ship 2 to 4  medium sized coins in an airmail letter with no tracking. for about  $6.   For heavier packages, up to about 9kg, the cost about $60 to $80, depending on the size of the package. I self-insure to countries with reliable postal systems.   Please write for rates based on your particular order.

Customs fees, duties or charges may be assessed by your country.  I cannot responsible for these.  Please let me know if you have any specific instructions for customs.

To order you may use our Secure on-line order page or simply send us an e-mail to orders@joelscoins.com or a letter or fax (postal address and fax number is at the bottom of this page).  If using the secure order form you may either use our shopping cart or just type the information into the Secure on-line order page.  You may your computer's  "copy and paste" to enter the information into the oSecure on-line order page 

If you wish to phone us, the best times to reach us is from 1:00 PM to 3:30PM and 7:00PM to 11:00PM Pacific Coast time.  We are often in and out in the mornings, however there is a reasonable chance of reaching us during the morning.      Our secure answering machine is available when we are not able to answer the phone.  Please leave our full order, including your telephone number on the answering machine.  Please speak clearly and slowly.

Any item will may be returned within 3 weeks for a full refund of the purchase price.  If the problem is my fault, I will  provide a return mailer or pay the return shipping cost.  It is best to contact me either by e-mail or by phone (805 - 489 - 8045 ) if you with to return or exchange an item to assure that you will be properly credited for the return.


Privacy Information:

Any information you provide will be kept strictly confidential. We do not sell, rent or distribute our mailing or e-mail lists. After all, why would we want you to spend your hard earned money anywhere else but here!
We retain the information needed to conduct business; including your name and mailing address, if you provide an e-mail address or telephone number we usually keep that on file in case we want to contact you.  The tax authorities and the card companies require us to retain information about each transaction.  If you order on-line, use a card or Paypal or order on open account we retain a copy of the order in case there is a question about the order.  The information is not aggregated or tracked, so we cannot easily tell you what you have ordered from us. It would take a lot of time and effort, and we don't have the time or effort.  We do track the source of an order (eg. a catalog, advertisement, website, etc.) and total orders placed by customer. We may also keep track of any particular interests or wants you let us know about. 

This is a "Ma & Pa" operation without any sophisticated data processing capabilities.  We do not have have computers that track, analyze, target you or your purchases.  We do gather aggregate information about what pages are visited on our website and how and how visitors got there (e.g. Google, another website, internal link), however none of the information can be tracked to an individual.

 We will not bombard you with "spam".  We might send you an e-mail a few times a year to notify you of new items or specials.  Please let us know if you do not want to receive any e-mails from us.   We never make unsolicited promotional phone calls.  I dislike making telephone calls so we will probably never phone you except in response to a question, an order or a phone message left by you.  Unless you request otherwise, we may occasionally let you know by e-mail or postal mail of something we think may be of interest to you.  We probably will send you catalogs by postal mail a few times a year.  Let us know if you do not want to receive catalogs.

We use cookies as part of the shopping cart.  These are only used for the placing of your order.  If you do not want to use cookies your order may be typed directly into the on-line order page.    Of course, if you decide to place an order, we will need to ask you some basic information needed to process your order.  Your order will be processed by a by a real live, thinking (at least most of the time) human, not a computer.

We occasionally have items shipped directly from one of our suppliers, in which case we need to pass on your address information onto them.  Our suppliers are reliable and have promised to keep your information confidential.
